Hi guys well it's a take two on the old bases I've gone slightly lighter with this one thinking it will achieve a better contrast between miniature and base.
Same method really, three greys drybrushed up (all be them lighter) from a black basecoat with two washes and two powders added (trying to keep them simple), anyhow take a look for yourself guys.
Jamie,
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for more feedback, try posing the mini on these, and also compare side by side with the previous base type!
I like the bases, they are simple be will work well to draw attention to the mini while complimenting it.
I'm just thinking out loud with these little base posts fella nothing too deep but yeah I'll try to up the quality in future ;)
DeleteIt is perplexing to me what people tend comment on or not, ie I'll spend what seems like ages on a mini building painting showing it in stages explaining what I've done and materials used and not a sniff of a comment/feedback (project Dreadnought for example), could be the quality of my work I admit..............anyhow sounds like I'm winging now ha.
On and up as they say :).
I always try to comment because I feel it's a shame when so many people produce such great work yet no one takes the time to leave a comment. I think generally the bloggers are good about inspiring and encouraging one another, but sometimes we miss posts if they get bured in blog rolls.
DeleteIt's weird because hits and views don't equate to comments. Fyn was just featured on the front page of faeit, and we got a massive surge in traffic, but only a handful of comments.
Kudos on the faeit front page man thats excellent!.

I really like them buddy, good contrast with yellow
ReplyDeleteThanks stu , I'm trying to keep them simple while also making them look quite effective something I think you have to do if your planning on army building and have limited time.
