Happy Christmas 2016.

Hi guys, Hope your all having a great Christmas and got all the plastic/resin hobby stuff you wanted.

I was given the Bloodbowl game with it's Death Zone supplement....get in!, Not ever played or even bought this before in any of it's earlier formats but I hear great things and love to watch gridiron, go Seahawks!! or something like that, so looking forward painting up the miniatures and kicking some human ass on the field.

Thinking on a tad there could be some Orkland Raiders making an appearance on these pages sometime soon., Going to have some fun with this.

I use Series7 brushes for the most part with my painting, But after looking around some random hobby shop a month or so ago and commenting to my good lady about these beautiful brushes from Broken Toad she sneakily bought and hid them away for crimbo, Never had brush soap before always washed them out in water so that's new to me but I'm sure I'll work it out.

Anyway guys enjoy the rest of your Christmas I'm off to play with the kids PS4....lucky little dudes.

SHOWCASE: Iron Warriors Warsmith.

Hi guys, Well just in time for Xmas I've finished the badass Warsmith to lead my motley crew of equally badass IV Legion.....take no prisoners!

Pretty chuffed with this little fella, Love the way his understated size blends in with his brethren but are still left in no doubt of his authority.

First time I've used blood effects on a model, I mixed some Tamiya red clear with Vallejo black and waited for it to dry a bit so it went a little gloopy, Not sure if it looks that great but it breaks up the steel colour of his hand weapon so it will do for me.

The hair colour was my third attempt and one I'll be sticking with, The first two, grey and brown, were both kind of  dull against his silver there we are red(ish) hair.

Some more close ups guys.

WIP: IW's Deredeo Pattern Dreadnought part 1.

Hi fellas, Well I've wanted this big guy for a while and just like mt Leviathan I'm going to Iron Warriors the hell out of it.

I hear alot of grumblings about the aesthetics of this miniature the way that the front sticks out all boat like, well I'm not so bothered sure it could of been a tad more Contemptor like but hey embrace the difference i say.

Not done a great deal on it so far, Thousand Sons keep calling to do something with all those B@C marines, but like i said with my Leviathan I'm adding extra armour which also adds to the IW's look, This time though rather than using old yogurt pot for the plastic stripes I've invested in some plasticard, getting more professional by the day lol, Still using Zinge Industry's rivets though, Great buy those.

For it's armament I've opted for but still waiting on the pre-order, The awesome Arachnus Heavy Lascannon battery with Aiolos launcher, Will be magnetizing the Launcher in anticipation of that field generator, or might kit bash my own not decided yet.

I'm happy with how it's going so far and plasticards so much easier to work with than yogurt pot..... no shit fella.

Anyhow that's all I've done on him so far, Not sure with Xmas coming up that I'll get a lot of time to spend on him but yeah sooner rather than later hopefully.

Limited Edition Mini: Primus Medicae.

Hi guys, So looks like Games Workshop are releasing their third Forge World miniature the Primus Medicae in Cataphractii terminator armour.

Weapon load out looks like a Needle Pistol and a Narthecium Gauntlet, The miniature looks a little static but overall i rather like it, Strange that the release date is the 27th Dec which is a Tuesday the day after Boxing day...well maybe not that strange after all...kerching!!

WIP: Iron Warriors Warsmith.

Hi fellas it's been a while, tut tut anyhow i thought i would show you what I've been up to.

Weathers playing havoc with priming outdoors right now but I've found that if you warm the tin up on a radiator for 5 to 10 min's you get a little time for a good smooth finish.

Anyway top tip out of the way so lets get on with the miniature, I've been wanting to build and paint a badass Warsmith to lead my force of brutal Iron Warriors for a while and was just waiting of the perfect base miniature to turn up from either GW or FW, I was thinking of using Alexis Polux which i bought for the kitbash but even though he's a awesome mini he's been used/kitbashed so many times.

So then Games Workshop came up with the goods with their second Forge World miniature to be sold in their store, The Ultramarines Herald i thought fitted the bill perfectly just had to remove those U's and away i go.

The Polux kit didn't go to waste, I used his arms, shoulder pads and power fist, I also used a Techmarines Back pack and servo arm plus some tubing, A Volkite weapon and a World Eaters large chopper (brutal) as his close combat weapon, the head is from the FW tank upgrade kit. For the base i just used various bit n bobs i had laying around on my bench.

So then nearly there with this just got the head to tone drat!! not looking forward to that...well I'll see how i get on with it. Anyhow i hope you like it so far guys and i should have him all done before too long.

SHOWCASE: Second Iron Warriors Contemptor.

Hi guys, well at long last I've built and painted the second Contemptor, Loving the pose of this fella and fits in nicely with the two other Dreads that I've painted so far.

As with the last Contemptor I've armed him with two Kheres Assault Cannons modeled out of FW aircraft Punisher Cannons.

I'm more happy with the yellow on this mini compared to the fist Contemptor but hey it's a learning process and to be honest it's not that noticeable.

Photo of them both together, Thinking of something different to complete the this space.

Burning of Prospero: Horus Heresy boxed game.

Well then guys this looks very interesting from GW (Warhammer) and again great value for money at £95.

Apart from my beloved Iron Warriors (hands down best Legion in the 30k setting) this set comprises of probably my two next favorite Legions, Of course the MkIII marines and Termies are generic and can be painted in whatever legion colours you want but those two character miniatures are ..well wow awesome!.

Apart from the awesomeness that are Ahzek Ahriman and Geigor Fell-Handed.... Bjorn wasn't the only one then, You get five Custodian Guard and five Sisters of Silence with the Sisters looking very fine indeed, Plus the aforementioned marines and termies, Looks loads better than the BatC set to me.

WIP: Iron Warrior Contemptor No2.

Well guys though I would show you a bit of progress of my second Iron Warriors Contemptor.

Most of the hard work is done, soaking of the resin (sometimes for days, does my head in) posing and gluing together, base, guns, basecoats etc all that stuff finished just the colouring in to go now.....the best bit!

Very happy with the pose of this monster, I see the Dread slowly walking down some narrow war torn street putting holes in things left and right as he goes, all grim dark thoughts hear folks.

I did his base a while ago and can't wait to get the fella stuck to it, it's the one on the left the other was for my Leviathan.

Anyway guys should have this mini done soon... famous last words may take six months if you know me, I am a tad lazy ;)

SHOWCASE: Iron Warriors Leviathan Dreadnought.

Hi guys at long last I've finished the big guy.

I'm very happy with how it turned out and he looks the business next to other painted Iron Warriors, I'll have to get a group photo up of them soon but I'll wait till there's a few more first.

I'm particularly cuffed with it's base detail and have carried on with the same heat burn on this guys gun barrels as I have on the Contemptor I painted earlier in the year.

Well that's it, Hope you like it up on the bench a second Contemptor and finally the finished Tac Squad (about time!!).

Armies on Parade: 2016.

Hi guys, Are any of you partaking in this years Armies on Parade.

I missed out last year due to family holiday but did attend the event the year before in 2014, It was my first time at AoP and I left things to the last minute so didn't have many miniatures on the tile but it was a great day down at Leeds GW (Warhammer).

This was the effort back in 2014 my much loved 40k Scythes of the Emperor on martian bases and tile, Never did get that martian sand to look right and the board is pretty sparse, If i do take part i hope that my next effort will look lots better plus it gives me inspiration to sort out all those half finished units.

Well fellas there's around ten weeks if your up for it, Good luck.

Forge World Open Day: 17th July 2016.

Hi guys, Well I had a great trip down to Nottingham to visit Forge Worlds open day only wish I felt a bit better, been ill you see so didn't stay long but anyway enough of that on with the visit.

First thing I wanted was the new Legiones Astartes army list book, I spent the extra tenner (they saw me coming) for the collectors black edition with the metal ends..if that's what you call them.

Not had that much time to look through but have noticed that my Land Raider Proteuses of which I have three are down to 180pts but don't have the option for the hull-mounted multi-melta anymore but do have the option for twin-linked heavy bolter/flamer or Lascannon so I'll deal with it.

Loving the look of the new Arachnus heavy lascannon Deredeo, Not so sure of the shield generator on top of the auto-cannon Deredeo but I'm told that it gives +1 to invulnerable saves to mini's within 6" to a 3+ max...sounds good yeah.

Interesting alternative Imp Knight heads, May have to pimp up my half built Knights a tad.

Legion Moritat.

Beautiful,  It's outrageous how Forge World keep producing these works of art....just take my money.

Very interested in these Secutarii upgrades, I bought a couple of the "Start Collecting Skitarii" box sets from Games Workshop....sorry I mean Warhammer back when they were first released, They Should look the part with maybe a Scout Titan or two later on, Well I can wish anyway.

That's it for now guys Cheers.
