SHOWCASE: Iron Warriors Leviathan Dreadnought.

Hi guys at long last I've finished the big guy.

I'm very happy with how it turned out and he looks the business next to other painted Iron Warriors, I'll have to get a group photo up of them soon but I'll wait till there's a few more first.

I'm particularly cuffed with it's base detail and have carried on with the same heat burn on this guys gun barrels as I have on the Contemptor I painted earlier in the year.

Well that's it, Hope you like it fellas....next up on the bench a second Contemptor and finally the finished Tac Squad (about time!!).

WIP: Iron Warriors Leviathan.

Wow it seems such a long time since I last posted on my blog, Anyway fellas I've been working on this Leviathan and the rest of my Iron Warriors project on and off for weeks now but nearly there with the big guy apart from the chest weapons and arms.

I've magnetized the arms so I can change the weapon load out if and when I feel the need, there's four arm's to paint up that I already own and the as yet not released Melta Lance which I'll buy once on sale.

So here he is minus the arms, I'm pretty Happy with it so far I've used some of the FW Iron Warriors transfers on this miniature and lots of small strips of plastic/rivets to give him the look.

WIP: Iron Warriors Leviathan.

Hi guys, The Leviathan Wow!!, I've had this kit for a few weeks now but didn't do much with it apart from clean it up etc, I ordered it on pre-order but had to wait for a replacement left leg as the one I had that came with the kit was all floppy rather like rubber very strange.

So then how to Iron Warrior's the life out of it and make some of those clean lines blend in to fit the style of my other walkers (only have one painted so far but there's more on the way) well it seems all you need is rivet heads and yogurt pot's.

As you can see I've not gone too mad with the the strips of plastic (cheers Muller light) this is mainly due to me liking the general shape of the Leviathan and also the old adage "less is more" ...you got to know when to stop right.

Just like the Contemptor the miniature is very poseable and so with that in mind I thought I would have the big guy stepping up slightly looking to take a pot shot at something.

Little shot of how the Leviathan looks on the base, not all the modifications were made to the Dread at this point.

All the parts ready for priming just got to wait for a break in the weather, Still waiting on a part before i attach the knee armour plates.

Well then guys this is the thing of beauty that I've been waiting for and yippee I have one on order...cant wait to get my hands on it and Iron Warrior the thing up.

The leviathan Dreadnought can be fitted out with various weapons, I've opted for the Storm Cannon and Grav-Flux Bombard but you can also buy a Siege Claw and Drill, As with my Contemptor I'll be magnetising the arms so in time I'll buy all options but for now I'm happy with whats on order.

Yeah WOW!!

Well then guys I think my Iron Warriors simply can't do with out at least one of these fantastic miniatures from the wizards at Forge World, To say I like it would be an understatement and to put it bluntly this things made for my 30k chapter.

Totally loving the look of those quad Auto-Cannons, I'm really excited to see what pans out weapon wise for these guys over the next few days and weeks, definitely having some from Santa this year.
