Right then here I am just starting out in the hobby building and painting mini's of my chosen chapter and BOOOOOOOM!!! take that! your mini's are no longer legal or at the very least are going to look sh!t due to different base sizes your Tac sized models will be stood on.
Got to say Games Workshop "WHATS THE POINT LADS!!", the third partie base makers wont be put out of business if that's what your thinking, they will catch up, the only people your pi55ing on is your customer base AGAIN!!.
Sorry for the rant guys but WTF!, I feel for you guys who have large collections, will they still be legal for tournament play?, how do you feel about re-basing your entire army or if its even possible.
End of rant.
Hell I have about 150 marines. If this isn't just for jump troops I'm screwed. If I don't rebase new models won't match and I'll be at a disadvantage in game against people with newer models who can reduce damage from blasts.Plus a lot of my bases are nice espoke urban and sulaco bases. Very pissed off and agree with your sentiment, GW just hate its customers, its no surprise we hate them back!
ReplyDeleteWell fella it looks like the new Blood Angels Tac's are also on 32mm so your options are..... 32m donut shaped bases from third partie suppliers to prevent yourself being forced from re-basing or grab your old school compass a cereal box and some bluetac, sorry man.
DeletePacks of ten 32mm bases up for pre-order on GW site already.
Old bases are completely legal. No worries lads! You can always use the bases the model was supplied by (as per GW's own rules).
ReplyDeleteSo don't worry about the base size adjustments. It's just a by-product of everything slowly getting larger over time. You can still use an original rhino, or ork trukk is a tournament game. All is well. Wooosah!
Lads??, Please address all comments to me Greg this isn't a public service announcement fella, thanks ;)
DeleteAye Jamie, I meant to respond to the other thread :).
