Chaplain Demetrios.

Well guys I've painted this fella up quick time and I quite like it, here's some pictures of my second Scythes HQ character.

Chaplain Demetrios Kit Bash.

Scythes Chaplain............
Demetrios now finds him self to be the head Chaplain for the Scythes of the Emperor Chapter after the demise of first Chaplain Segas at Sotha's last stand before the withdrawal, Demetrios is a troubled soul who is known to be aggressive and hateful, it is said that he carries an "ever present threat of violence" and is always the first marine in any fray, he is very well respected by the Scythes first company.

Hi guys this kit bash chaplain will be my second Scythes HQ model i'll paint and I cant wait, I love the look of him, to me he looks almost gladiatorial with his right shoulder armour that has the extra little plate also the helmet fits perfect for this look in my opinion, its mostly forge world parts with a few GW bits.
Anyhow fellas here's a picture before its painted, hope you like it as much as me.

First 40k HQ model painted.........
At last I've got my first HQ Scythes model painted, its a mish mash of various different kits (kit bashed as they say), its good how you can do this with space marines you can truly make something unique and personal.

I've gone for a slightly darker blue which I think fits better with the black of the Scythes, anyhow guys im happy with it and here's a few pictures to look at.

Scythes Terminators.

Salvation Teams........

Salvation teams are often accompanied by Terminator Marines whilst aboard derelict space craft/Tyranid Bio-ships and space hulks, they are tasked with the job of recovering valuable artefacts as well as more mundane pieces of war gear like power armour and bolters that will then be used by the Neophytes after gene-seed implantation and training regimen however these teams have also found several cocooned survivors on board Bio-ships usually in terminator armour, it is unclear why they were kept alive.

Well then guys here's my first completed terminator squad and I've got to say im well chuffed with them, I've gone with the assault cannon as I think its the best looking heavy upgrade and also given him a chain fist, why not!, I had a slight wobble over the base colour scheme but in the end decided to run with and not change it as I thought the light colour complemented them in contrast to the dark colour scheme of the Scythes, I've also added long sun bleached grasses to these and all my other Scythes models and think they break up the base and add a little more interest.

Immense Power............
Hi guys, well yesterday I spent over ten hours putting together and painting this dam thing so I would have another fully painted piece to field at the start of the progressive campaign at my local games club, I had to leave the tech for another day as my eyes and back were knackered after that!.

The model itself is ok and quite easy to put together, the finecast isn't too bad although two of the rim's on the track wheels were so thin they just fell away, not good!, I didn't need much green stuff which was a good job as I hadn't the time to let it dry, I painted it in eight parts before gluing together, the two tracks, side panels and lower cog plates that hold the gun, the main body with rear supports and the main gun.
For speed (LOL) I used GW's black and white spray undercoats and Army Painters demonic yellow undercoat, I find the AP's demonic yellow great for my Scythes it speeds painting yellow up a great deal.
Painting the TFC itself is straightforward enough there's loads of metal parts so I just tried to keep it neat and add the detail such as lenses ect afterwards.

As for its immense power, it gave me first blood wiping out a unit of 14 Termagant's in one pop! in my first round of shooting, it also did this again in another round and also kept a couple of units moving slow using subterranean blast in two other rounds, to say the thing was a beast is an understatement and was well worth putting the effort in to get it painted!.

Librarian Tormal Kit Bash.

Last of his kind............?
Chief Librarian Tormal was the last of his kind to survive the Tyrannic war's that decimated the Scythes of the Emperor chapter and their home world Sotha, Tormal is one of only a few last remaining senior officer's that still proudly serve the Scythes and Chapter Master Thrasius.

I will be using this character as my first HQ choice in a progressive campaign im about to start at my local games club, it starts at 500 pts and increases 250 pts every month until 1750 pts is achieved, I hope to bring you the painted 500pts force soon and also maybe an update or two on my progress during the campaign...............
